The Evanston Chamber sponsors a Black Professionals Networking Group. Our mission is to be a pioneer and be an innovator of new ways to support traditional Black businesses, entrepreneurs, and professionals. The group is sponsored by Northwestern University, Amita—St. Francis Hospital, and Evanston Community Bank and Trust.
As a member, you and your employees have access the Evanston Chamber of Commerce business programs and resources. We will offer you unprecedented access to activities, peer networking opportunities, entrepreneur training, and professional development sessions.
This group meets monthly on the first Friday of each month at a local black-owned restaurant or business (or via online networking tools like Zoom; check the Event Calendar for details). Prospective members and members are welcomed into a culturally brave space, aimed at making natural connections with each other and fostering a truly comfortable, accountable, and culturally responsible climate for informal networking.
The Black Professionals Networking Group also supports other organizations such as the Black Business Consortium of Evanston and the North Shore (BBCENS). Use BBCENS Business Directory to find, support, and connect with black-owned businesses in Evanston, Illinois.
