Individual, Business and Community Advocacy Programs

To be successful you need to be heard. That's why The Evanston Chamber of Commerce aggressively represents your business interests at the city, county, regional and state levels.

The Chamber regularly assists businesses with challenges such as creating new parking spaces, signage, recycling questions and building permits.  Additional support provided by The Chamber includes:

  • Economic Analysis: The Chamber strongly believes its advocacy programs must be supported by empirical evidence. We regularly conduct analytical studies and project comparisons for regulatory and legislative issues. The Chamber also offers a library of economic and marketing statistics to demonstrate potential community impact of a ruling or ongoing issue facing our community.
  • Direct Advocacy: Successful advocacy is built on relationships. Based on your needs, The Chamber can provide introductions, set-up meetings, establish key community links, and develop presentations for economic development proposals and activities.
  • Communication: The key to a winning advocacy strategy is the delivery of the appropriate message. Chamber staff can help manage media relations, forge coalitions with other important constituencies, and leverage its relationship with local community leaders, elected officials and other businesses.
