Smart business owners and managers know that success is not achieved solely by what they know, what they create, or how determined they are. It’s a combination of factors; and at the core, it’s also very much about who they know and who gains their trust. In life and business, relationships are key.
A witness to the impressive power of connections in business, the Evanston Chamber dedicates resources to expand opportunities for members to Get Connected by networking and building brand visibility, namely through popular events, sponsorships and the Chamber’s Evanston Community Business Directories (online and in print).

Evanston Business Directories (online and print)
For member’s only, the Chamber’s Evanston business directories put members’ contact information in the hands of their target audiences — residents, visitors, and other businesses.
The online version, includes a business referral service that is available from the Evanston Chamber’s home page, and directly at www.evchamber.com/directory. Countless residents and visitors either contact the Chamber office directly or search the Web for referrals to — restaurants, hotels, shopping districts, and entertainment venues as well as service providers, from plumbers and carpet cleaners, to Web developers and financial/investment institutions, as well as many others — and we in turn direct them to our online directory of member businesses.
The print directory, 2016 Evanston Community Guide, is year-long resource for residents, students and businesses. Mailed to select residents in January each year, the Guide is also distributed by businesses and realtors, and handed out at community events throughout the year. The Guide lists members alphabetically as well as by category.
Whether your business is a B2B, B2C, or both, the Chamber, its members and event attendees are genuine in their desire to help support local businesses and facilitate introductions to people who know people … who know people. That’s the beauty of networking in a business community like Evanston’s. And that’s the power of connections in the Evanston Chamber.
